BOX.
My first project was to create a protest in a box. I was inspired by both Barbara Kruger and Shepard Fairey's work.so I made two research
pages to get a better understanding of their work and use of layout.
The theme of my protest is women in film and to raise awareness of the lack of women representation in the film industry. This is part of the reason why is chose both Kruger and Fairey, both their work is bold, daring, and political and makes a statement to the viewer which is what i want to achieve with my own work.

Women in Film Video
For my box, I edited a video to show all the women in the film industry that have inspired me and made films I love. the style of the video is mostly inspired by Shepard Fairey as I used his style to edit the image in the video.
Box Photos
to make my box, I collaged it with images of women in the film industry I find inspiring and edited them as black and white like in Baraba Kruger's work and then used bold white text with a red background to show I understand Kruger's use of typography in her designs. I then added a QR code for viewers to interact with the box and see the video I created. As a finishing touch, I made cinema tickets with facts about the protest and the film industry.
